Dashing, decadent, and deliciously seductive, the notorious Lords of Vice indulge their every desire—from dusk until dawn…

Christopher Courtland, Earl of Vanewright—known around London as “Vane”—is the very picture of a rich, handsome ladies’ man. Why shackle himself to just one lady when he’s free to sample them all? In spite of his own mother’s attempts at matchmaking, Vane has sworn to stay single. Until he has a chance run-in with Miss Isabel Thorne

A modest and refined beauty, Isabel is a lot more brazen than she appears. When a pickpocket tries to make away with Vane’s bejeweled snuffbox, Isabel attempts to thwart his escape…and manages to steal Vane’s heart. But the harder he tries to seduce the sharp-tongued, strong-willed Isabel, the more she resists. Now it’s up to this tried-and-true bachelor to find a new way to play the game…or risk losing the one woman who’s ever captured his heart.

What I look for in a rogue is that playfulness, sinful personality. The personality that loves to shock people but when met with the right women will shock only her ;) I love when a rogue breaks the rules not only for the fun of it but to show the women he loves how much he loves her.

The tortured hero is one of my favorite types of rogue. Dark, broody and withdrawn. It’s those very layers that need to be peeled away slowly to expose what he is trying to conceal. Who wouldn't love to be the woman to heal him?

I always find that these tortured rogues make for some of the best storylines that get my blood heated and my juices flowing (figuratively speaking).

Thanks for this great opportunity.

WHAT I LOOK FOR IN A ROGUE- MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE IN FENCING, BOXING, PISTOLS, IN THE ART OF LOVE MAKING, AND MAKING MONEY. HE MUST BE PHYSCIALLY FIT MAY HAVE AN INJURY FROM SPYING. GAMBLES BUT, DOESN'T GO INTO DEBT, KNOWS WHEN TO QUIT. KNOWS SEVERAL LANGUAGES AND HAVE AN EXCELLENT VALET. LOVE FOR HORSES AND LAND. SHREWD WHEN NEED BE. HAS A SENSE OF HUMOR. HAS BLACK HAIR, A LITTLE LONG BUT CAN TIE IT BACK. HIS EYES OF THE DEEPEST BLUE. TITLED LORD. AND MOST OF ALL ATTRACTED TO A LADY WHO IS PLUMP!

I can take all the sin he is willing to offer as long as it's pleasurable.

I love the guy who knows what he wants and will do anything to get her. A bit of a bad boy, but he's so so good to her. ;)

What I look for in a rogue. Love the bad boys but must have a good side.
I have not read them but it sounds great.

I think a rogue with a sense of humor is too sexy! It means the world when someone can make you laugh. I love when a rogue finally figures out that bantering and suggestive comments are so much more tantalizing when its done to the one you love! A rogue also has to not be afraid to show a tender side, to express fear and love, longing and frustration.

I haven't read any of these yet but Christine's review had me rushing to add them to the wishlist. Love the trailer, OMG HAWT!

I love everything about rogues, the cynical, hard outer shell that hides a wicked wit and a soft melting centre. Knowing that they'd do anything to protect the woman they love, once she gets past that hard outer shell obviously, and it's always fun watching that shell crack.

Love the new eZine Christine, the layout, articles and reviews are great. Thanks for another fantastic giveaway!

I love Alexandra's books! They are smokin' hot and the covers are gorgeous! I know even before I pick em up they will be amazing! I have read her last book Till Dawn with the Devil three times already!!! I love those bad boy rakes and they can be as sinful as they want to be as long as that one lady can tame them. I loved the tortured hero the best. It does not really matter to me though. Thanks for the great post and review today! I was at the store yesterday seeing if I could find a early copy! No such luck! LOL I will be getting tomorrow for sure!

1) I love a rogue who is playful and secretive, but also knows how to treat a lady while still remaining the flirting charmer. He scoffs at convention and forges his own path. But underneath it all he has a heart of gold that few are privy to. That is what makes a HOT ROGUE and has me in a puddle on the floor.

2) I loved the review. I got sucked in by the reviewers love for Christopher Avery Courtland, Earl of Vanewright, which in turn, made me love the whole story she was describing. I have not read any of ththe books in Ms. Hawkins Lord Of Vice series but I was willing to start with book four that is how much the reviewer made me want to read it.

3) Great book trailer, it left you wanting to see more. It was a great reflection of what Vane and Isabel's story is about.

I'd love a rogue with interesting conversation. He should know when it's time to be a rake and when it's time to be a gentleman.

I'm not the most fun-seeking person and prefer quiet nights at home -- but a little, little bit of sin would be fine. Especially if it came with the rogue and a box of chocolates.

i think a rogue needs to be sexy .. a lil sinful .. a lil bit badboy .. but also protective of his mate/ partner and doesnt take BS from ppl .. and will do anything to protect or for his woman :)

even if it means being a bit naughty or a badass ...

A rogue must be smart, funny, daring, bold and just a little mysterious! Since I don't consider most things between a consenting adult man and a consenting adult woman to be sinful (lucky me!), I suppose I can take whatever my rogue can deliver. I read the review and enjoyed the view...er I mean the trailer. Thanks for the chance to win the books!

krazymama_98 said...

What do I look for in a rogue? The only consistent quality....When I read his description. Coming to mind must be a gorgeous body, ready to sin, strong, confident in his appearance. Of course, inside, he may not always feel so confident about women. :-)A sense of humor dont hurt, but not required. :-)

I love the rogues who know what they want and go after it. They will bend the rules to their liking. Gotta love that bad boy attitude but has the good boy deep inside of him. He has to not give up. Must be playful, sinful and have the dark looks with the light eyes.

Happy release day Alexandra ! You are very good author and deserve to get the best. Just finished watched the YouTube video. I think the video is quite cool though I think the guy is not sexy enough to fit my imagination :). I love your new book. Wish I can get my hand to my copy of this book ASAP . Would really love to win the first three so I can complete my collection:). Aretha zhen, aretha_zhen@yahoo.com

Sadly, Anonymous, there's only so much you can do with stock images. No model is going to live up to my expectations for the Lords of Vice. Though I thought the model we found for Isabel was close.

I look for a rogue with a sense of fun and a core of decency, a man who likes to play but isn't cruel or vindictive, a bad boy, but not too bad.
I enjoyed the trailer, it really caught my interest and I can't wait to read Sunrise with a Notorious Lord.

Ms. Alexandra,

My rogue must be dashing, broody, snarky, handsome, fit but not in a steroid kind of way. I like a man with muscles but the kind from hard work maybe from fencing, swimming. I love when the outside world see's them a silly dandy but in reality it's an act.
I love when he thinks he's a player, until that certain woman comes along and he makes a fool of himself trying to capture her heart. He must be loyal and loving, and maybe a little tortured too. Of course he has to have money and land and he must love his animals as he would love his lady.

The video for this new book is the best video I've ever seen for a book. Congratulations! I couldn't have picked the music any better it was breath taking.
Happy New Year! May 2012 bring you nothing but success and blessings.

Thanks, Teresa. The trailer was a joint effort with Book Candy Studios. They've created all of my trailers. I love the music, too. Vivaldi is one of my favorite composers and his music fits the tone of these trailers perfectly.
